"To make living itself an art, that is the goal."
- Henry Miller
I most recently had the pleasure to portray Avery Brundage in Kemp Powers' THE NINETEENTH directed by Carl Cofield for The Old Globe Theater in San Diego. Previously, I portrayed Gonzalo in the LA Philharmonic's production of THE TEMPEST in partnership with the Old Globe Theater under the direction of Barry Edelstein. Other featured roles at The Old Globe Theater have included Frank in Karen Zacarias' play NATIVE GARDENS directed by Edward Torres and Bernard in RED VELVET by Lolita Chakrabarti and directed by Stafford Arima. Additional productions at The Old Globe include Shakespeare's TWO GENTLEMAN of VERONA (directed by Mark Lamos), OTHELLO (directed by Barry Edelstein), and MACBETH (directed by Brian Kulick). Highlights of my roles in regional theaters include the lead role of Don Aragon in the world premiere of Herbert Siguenza's MANIFEST DESTINITIS at San Diego REP, Philip in Anna Zeigler's play ANOTHER WAY HOME at Magic Theater in San Francisco, and Boyd in the ARENA STAGE production of BOOK OF DAYS.
Off Broadway, I portrayed three characters in the York Theatre's premiere of ROTHSCHILD & SONS by Sheldon Harnick and Sherman Yellen. At Soho Rep I played Stephen Mark in THREE ON A COUCH and Stanford White in Hypothetical Theatre Company's production of SWEETHEART'S THE MAN IN THE MOON.
My professional career as a stage actor spans over four decades. I was classically trained and received my MFA at the Hillberry Repertory Theatre of Wayne State University.
